The art of handmade leather wallets

Discover the dedication and traditional techniques that make each valdy wallet a unique and lasting piece.

Uncompromising craftsmanship, stitch by stitch

Our craftsmanship sets us apart. Unlike factory-made wallets, every valdy piece is crafted entirely by hand. We use a traditional "saddle stitch" that is incredibly tough and designed to never unravel, ensuring your wallet withstands years of daily use. While others rush, we meticulously hand-sand and polish every edge until it’s perfectly smooth and shiny—a detail often overlooked by mass production. Our focus isn't on speed, but on creating one perfect wallet that feels solid, smells great, and is built to be the last one you'll ever need.

Why leather? A material that tells your story

We choose leather because it's one of the few materials that truly improves with age. Unlike modern items made from plastic or cheap fabric, a good piece of leather evolves. What we love most is its ability to develop a unique "patina"—a distinctive character that reflects your life. Over time, the oils from your hands and how you carry it will change its colour and texture, making your wallet even more beautiful. Leather is a tough, honest material with a wonderful scent and a soul, making every hour spent stitching it worthwhile.

From frustration to passion: The valdy story

Our journey began a few years ago, born out of frustration. My expensive "designer" wallet fell apart within months, and every replacement I found felt cheap and flimsy. So, I decided to make my own. I bought some quality leather and basic tools, spending evenings at the kitchen table learning the art of hand-stitching. My first attempts were rough, but they felt ten times stronger than anything I'd ever bought. That feeling of creating something durable and useful with my own hands was incredibly satisfying, and I’ve been obsessed with crafting the perfect, long-lasting wallet ever since.
